December & January

I love December! I love the Christmas music, the joy and the lights! I started my new job at Nightforce Optics, and they paid me for two weeks vacation starting December 19. I already made some new friends and have enjoyed working for such a great company so far but it was hard to go back to work January. We had a lot of stuff we got to do with our families and friends. We went out sledding outside of Weippe in the woods, Josh's truck got a flat tire so we were stranded luckily we all fit in Austin's pickup and he was nice enough to help him switch the spare after taking us to their house. Josh's sister Alisha came home with Liam. We haven't got to see him since Summer 13' it was very sad to see him that way but also joy to see him at all. He had a slight cough but smiled and enjoyed playing with new toys. We found out we are Josiah Smolinski's godparents. Angelica and Dereck decided to have us be his godparents. That was such a blessing and they also came over to our new house. I always gets nervous its never good enough. We had an awesome Christmas. Josh got me a kindle, I got him a carhart coat along with other things, and he also got me some toms and a sweatshirt. Addyson wasn't in the best of moods but towards the end she got the spirit. She loved playing with all her new toys, and opened them all. She was spoiled! We ate dinner at my parents and hung out with Josh's that evening. It was so nice to have EVERYONE come and just enjoy each other. We opened gifts with Nicole, Austin and the kids the night before. Angelica and I ended up going with Josh and Dereck to see the Hobbit part 2... NOT that amazing but it was actually something I stayed away for this time. They flew back to Hawaii a few days later. It was great seeing them. New Years Eve, I didn't make it till Monday, but made a nice meal for us all to be enjoyed over talk of getting another dog. I am fine with just two dogs. So I am glad to say that Josh finally stopped talking about getting another dog.

This January 2014 I decided that I am ready along with Josh to try for another baby. I went and got my birth control removed and am on my way to getting pregnant, I have a long ways to go but really want it to happen already. I have major baby fever. I think Pinterest isn't helping any of that. I'm happy Josh is so ready for this makes me feel better. I am doing great at my job, I enjoy going to lunch with my new friends, and laughing a lot through out the week. Addyson will be staritng preschool and my friend Molly has asked me to start doing freezer meals since we both will be working late. Its nice to have someone else who wants to do that with me. Addyson is excited to start school she's talked about it for weeks. Josh is also starting off the new year by joining crossfit in town, he loves it, and he is thinking about joining a team and competing in Las Vegas in this obstacle course. Seems hard but we will see. We did sign up for "Run or Dye" 5k run, we hope that it is coming in our area! Lots of exciting things and it may have been hard to get here but we are slowly getting to complete happiness!

November

November has been a busy & emotional month. Liam has his surgery after finding out he has a brain tumor. They all flew/drove to Minnesota for the surgery in hopes Liam's neck would go back to normal. His neck did go back to normal, but once he got back to salt lake city they found out they didn't even get an eighth of the tumor. (In Minnesota Liam also got a shunt put in his head to help drain the fluid that wasn't wanting to drain correctly, he will have that his entire life) Liam under went another surgery to hopefully remove the tumor, which they did, they got 99 percent of it. Liam is on chemo now, he can't eat, if he swallows, it goes directly into his lungs. So they put him on a feeding tube along with oxygen. Having a break down in the Costco parking lot after Josh calling me doesn't compare to the sadness his mom is going through. Josh's sister, Alisha, is doing well with being strong and taking care of her little man. Unfortunately the chemo has hurt the little guys throat and damaged his voice box. He can't talk, or cry like any other baby can. Liam turned 1 this month and Justin turned five. They both are so special along with the girl. Rylee loves her uncle and actually loves her auntie as well. Addyson gets mad when Rylee messes with her ponies or barbies. Thankgiving was a nice little gathering, we wished that Josh's mom came but maybe next time she'll come to a thanksgiving. My parents just had a little thing, mainly they were just fighting with each other therefore I dragged my mom to the restaurant where (through marriage) cousins were having their thanksgiving dinner since they recently bought the old café in Weippe. Addyson kept telling me she wanted my little ponies, and doc mcstuffin's for her Christmas gifts. Nicole and I went black Friday shopping. its finally nice to get along! Only took forever ;)

October

I didn't noticed how long its been since I last blogged. I thought I'd keep up with blogging now but looks like I don't. October was the start of hunting season, we didn't get to go out this month because we decided to have a gathering at our house for everyone to carve pumpkins, eat chili, and enjoy Carmel apples. My friend Lisa helped out so much and for that I am thankful. Addyson enjoyed everything we did through out the month, sleep overs, and of course, road trips on the back roads. We also joined the fun down town Orofino for some trick or treating. Addyson also enjoyed dance class every Friday till December would be her recital. That is what mainly kept me busy. Josh's birthday as well. He turned 24 years old. We didn't get to go to a pumpkin patch this year which was sad, they decided not to have one in Lewiston. Addyson also has been learning her letters of her name. She can count to 10 and that we are so proud of!

Fair Days, wedding, and lonely

Last weekend was fair days on the Clearwater River in Orofino. I didn't realize how gross fair is, nothing like bring a big thing of hand sanitizer. We got off work Thursday, got ready and went to the fair. Addy started crying at first so I rode with her the rest of the night, her little giggles, remarks on how fun it is, made me happy. I didn't exactly feel good by going in circles on rides, I am sure I almost puked up my haystack. Thursday was the only day we could spend at the fair because Saturday was Chinele and Travis' wedding. They didn't have anyone to take pictures so I took some and my mom has photoshop so I tried to make them look good, I don't know if I did a good job, I tried. It was a busy weekend. Josh was camped out for hunting season again. Hope he gets something soon, it's expensive and lonely this time of year.

Breast Cancer

I recently probably wrote that my grandma Sonja has cancer in  her right breast. This was a big shock to our whole family, luckily she went in for a check up and had a monogram and found she had a lump in her duct. The doctor took immediate action to get the cancer out, she later had her first surgery and we got the call this week that they got it all it didn't spread and she will be taking another action to make sure it stays that way. My sweet grandma has always been there for me, I am lucky that she can teach me things that will help me for the rest of my life. I hope Addyson one day has a grandma like mine. Right now, I am thanking my lucky stars that Addyson is getting taught the same things she and my grandpa taught me. We canned pickles, harvest corn, green beans, and a few other yummy veggies out of their amazing garden. Blessed.

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend came up fast! We weren't ready for our last camping trip of the year. Josh is doing archery hunting this September and opening day was Labor Day weekend. We went out to a pretty place called the "Northfork." We love it out there, we only saw half of our friends and family out there. Even Dux got to see his sister and his parents. Although his dad wasn't thrilled about him and his hyper personality, he was sure excited to see them. Almost makes you wonder if they remember who they are. Dux is a lot bigger than his sister, she was the runt, as her own told me. Purple Beach is where Dux, Addyson and I spent our afternoons when Josh was in the woods. He didn't get a shot but heard lots of bulls, and cow elk moving around. Getting an elk would feed our family clear to next season. It may seem horrible to kill an animal, a pretty one at that, but we've grown up on that kind of meat, and now that we are out on our own, we know how expensive it is to buy meat. I love just regular beef, but nothing like lean, natural, no processing, just good old meat. I'm sorta getting off track with my post, but we had a great time. Addyson and I made marshmellows, I didn't bring all the goodies to make smores, but it was fun just roasting marshmellows and having a hotdog. Well, Addyson didn't have a hotdog, since I grabbed the ones that says "HOT" on them. They were a little spicy, but she had lots of pancakes! Dux and Paco did good at guarding camp, we all slept well in our cots. We also had a flat tire! That was scary. Looked like we ran over a screw. We got it all fixed out at camp, thanks to the ones we were camping near. It took us three hours to get out to camp and three hours back, it was a long drive, but a lot of fun camping and riding fourwheeers, not to mention the drives in the mountains!

Addyson @ Three Years

Addyson recently went to see her doctor. Dr. Justice, is a nice lady and is really pretty. Her office is filled with cute pictures of her own children, I thought they were just random photographs/canvas'. I can sure tell when my girl is getting big. She let the doctor and nurse do all the standard check up stuff. She didn't resist doing anything, breathed for her, let her look in her mouth. It was nice to not have a screaming child. She didn't like getting a shot though, that made me sad, but before that she was telling me to "shut up" and I don't know where she learned that, but I told her she is going to get in trouble if she keeps saying it, and right before the nurse came in she said it again. Little stinker! She then got a shot and didn't know what was going on. In a way I was like I wonder if she thinks this is punishment for saying "shut up," so after that was said and done, she got a sticker and a little sucker, which made a mess in the pick-up.

Here are her stats.

Weight: 32.2 lbs. (56% tile)
Height: 36.5 '' (26% tile)

Wild Rodeo

We made the brave journey to the town of Weippe this Saturday to enjoy the rodeo. Addyson loved the horses there, and said she wanted to ride a sheep. I think not! She would have flipped. Her attitude towards the half way point was terrible but then it got better towards the end. I got to see a lot of my old classmates, and enjoy some friendly chitchat with some new ones. I don't think we will be attending the one next year, I think we will stick to the Lewiston Round-Up (rodeo) in September. I haven't got much accomplished this weekend besides some cleaning, laundry, and Addyson and I made Zucchini bread. She decided to stir the dry ingredients. I am ready to tackle this week, and Thursday we will be heading up to stay with my Grandma. She is having a tumor in her breast removed. Yes, my grandma was diagnosed with fast growing cancer. I feel like I am in a dream. Hopefully this surgery will help her onto the road of being cancer free!

Dux

I can't believe I haven't put DUX in our family blog.  We recently bought, yes bought, a chocolate lab for Addyson. We picked him out in February and in March he came to live with us. He is a big guy. I am pretty sure he is 70 lbs. He is almost seven months old.
Baby Dux

She picked... and he became DUX

Our Home

I've finally have internet to keep up with my blog instead of my iphone.  We love our little house. When I say little its only 1200 square feet, with a huge yard. We want to one day build a shop/garage. Eventually that would be where we would gather if we had a big gathering. (Thanks to Darcy and Gerry for the idea!)

Here are pictures of our house. We still have some updating, to make it ours, and our yard is HORRIBLE. See Peck use to just be one big river here, once it all dried up, it eventually just has a small creek running through it. So our yards are rocky, and we're going to have to landscape this fall or early spring.
