christmas card photos

We took our traditional photo in front of the Christmas tree. I am so excited well was so excited until we were actually doing it. Today I went to Mandy's to visit and Addyson didn't really take a second nap, but why would she, it's too fun over there! So it was hard getting her to look over at the camera that was on a timer I really wish I had an expensive camera to do the job. Maybe next year??? This will just have to do for our little family. I wish Josh wasn't so awkward. What an awkward man. But I think they turned out all right.

just thinking..

This week is going to be a busy one. Tomorrow is the 1st which is grocery shopping time and all I really want to do is try out all these wonderful recipes I have collected for the holiday season. We're going to be so huge from eating so much. I am just too excited to bake. On a different note I will be taking Addyson to the dentist with me so she will get the feel of what a dentist is like, even though she is only 6 months old it is never too early to start that, right? Then on Friday is Addyson's 6 month appointment. I hope that Josh can come because he hasn't been to one and they might be getting it off due to them having 180 days of no DUI's (yay Navy?) It would be a big help. But what I am mostly excited for is that our neighbors, down the street, are having their baby. Ashley has been texting me all day/night telling me the progress she is making, I am glad my labor was only seven hours I don't think I could handle the whole 24 hour thing. I am so curious on who she is going to look like if Addyson and her will be friends!? I know she'll be a newborn and Addy is 6 months old. BIG DIFFERENCE! There is always the future though! So I will be hopefully seeing them sometime soon. I wish I was more around her when she was pregnant besides the beginning of her pregnancy. But that is what happens when you are busy!

a long eventful four day weekend....

Josh's four day weekend is coming to an end. We didn't have a very exciting one today but it was a horrible way to end it. On Friday we tried to brave the Black Friday but I wasn't really feeling good and people in the one store, AKA WAL-MART, were driving me nuts. So we got one thing and left. After that we started decorating for Christmas. We tried to do it while Addyson was awake but her naps were off so she ended up going to bed by the time we finally got everything in place so the Christmas tree could go up. We have pretty much everything up except the lights outside which we'll do sometime soon. Saturday came and we pretty much didn't do anything except take the dogs to the dog park. I was still not feeling well. Today, was the biggest adventure I don't want to repeat. We walked to the NEX which is about four miles there and back from our house. It started out warmish and then when we started coming back all this rain come. Addyson was strapped to Josh's chest I was freaking out because I felt like a horrible mom. FINALLY! This old couple came to the rescue. They picked us up and took us to our home. Thank the lord! We came home and all went for a nap, played some Wii, and now we're just chilling. I wish that I had all the ingredients to make yummy sugar cookies. I will be baking this next weekend for sure. I'm excited to try new recipes. I am just really glad this weekend is over.

Happy Thanksgiving

Our thanksgiving this year was spent in our home, it's the first one that we have had here and it was very special. We invited a couple people over, Sharon and Aaron. (No, they aren't together...). We didn't get the turkeys going until 10:30. We had one in the oven and one in the smoker. The turkey in the oven got done really fast, but the one in the smoker took about five hours. So we just ate the oven one. We had mash potatoes, gravy, cranberry, rolls, yam dish, a Doritos dish, dressing, and much more. It was a lot of food. Our fridge was over stuffed. The previous night I made my first pumpkin pie, all from scratch along with my famous apple pie. Josh kept saying how much he loved my pies. It made me feel really good. Addyson was too funny. She took her usual naps but woke up when it was time to eat. I put her in her highchair (the free one I got...not the biggest fan of it) and trying to get my food and her food was hard. She was so hungry once I put her squash and watered down pear juice, she was feeding herself and everyone was laughing. Then she started drinking out of her cup. It was so cute. Every time I'd come back to the table she'd drop her sippy cup and look at me like I was going to hold it for her. What a lazy child! Sadly, the snow was melting during all this and we have no snow left. Anyways, our dinner was so good. After that we played the Wii, that Aaron brought over. It was so much fun, we had plenty of good laughs. Then we played some darts and listen to music. It was sad to see the fun end, but I was happy to go to sleep, I was exhausted. It was nice to have fun and drink a glass of wine or even a margarita. I am glad Addyson had a good first thanksgiving. I love her and Josh so much, and I am very thankful for them along with our families and good friends! Now today is black Friday... We're not really into the whole getting pushed around thing just to get an item that is $20 cheaper, ecpesically with Addyson, who might throw a fit, we might go out later and see if we survive and if they are actually having a good deal?

6 month old Addyson

Today is the day my little girl is half way to one! I just can't believe she is 6 months old. Yesterday I was looking at pictures from the hospital. I can't believe it has been 6 months since we were in the hospital waiting to meet her (it wasn't a long wait either...). Addyson has developed her attitude, it's her way or the highway. I am not a big fan of that either.

Hooorrayyy for Josh!

Today Josh just found out that he is now a THIRD CLASS PETTY OFFICER! He has been having a hard time making rank because there are so many people in his job (airman) so the only way he can make it was to get an EP or whatever the other one is called (lovely Navy wife talk). So with some studying and yes, I tried to help him study, he is now known as AS3. Very proud of his hard work and dedication to the Navy. Now hopefully we can keep moving up and jump over the very big hurdle of getting his PTS approved. (PTS is a request they are making Airman fill out about themselves and if it doesn't get approved he'll have to just do his term and not rejoined, which mean he wont be making a career out of the Navy, darn depression!)

Snow

Posted by Picasa

Today we got some snow and its still snowing. I was so excited that it was snowing. I just wish it was Christmas Eve and not the week of Thanksgiving. I am thankful for it anyways. Addyson didn't really know what to think. Josh thinks we're going to make a snow angel when he gets home. Watch out Addyson, Dad's crazy! Off to make some yummy cookies for the dinner tomorrow at Josh's work!

Happy Birthday Justin & Addyson's 6mo- November 23rd

Happy Birthday to our handsome nephew, Justin!
I miss you so much and hope you have a good day tomorrow.

Addyson is 6mo. as well.
Her doctors appointment is the 3rd of December.

I can't believe I have a 6mo. old now and
a nephew who is 2! Addyson & Justin are exactly 18 months
apart and Josh's dad, Erik, and Addyson share the same birthday.

Finally. Photo Edits!

I've been stalking Mandy to tell me how she got the names and such on the pictures. I thought it was neat! This girl that is our neighbor, Ashley, had photo express on her facebook so I figured that would be my answer. YES! (sorry Mandy for bugging you so much!)

Lonely Saturday.

Josh has duty this weekend so he won't be home much. It really sucks that we hardly get to see him and when he does have time he ends up hanging out with a friend(s). I am now getting use to being a single mommy. I feel as if Josh is already deployed. It's getting easier on me but Addyson ONLY likes me. Yesterday I was going to go to Mandy's to hang out when Josh got here to take me over, and he said "HI" to Addyson who was sitting so nicely in her bumbo chair, just started SCREAMING beat red not breathing finally tears a rollin' cry. Josh picked her up and she just wouldn't stop until I got a hold of her. It makes me sad that she feels that way towards her dad. I just want him to be a good dad and want to spend time with her, the only time I feel he wants to if I send a cute video or picture to his phone and he misses us, but once he is here its like that man never existed. Does this happen to all men? When he leaves for deployment will our daughter not want to be around her dad? Things like that run through my mind a lot. I'm really excited for the holidays except Josh just went out and spent over 100.00 in groceries and a smoker for Thanksgiving. Now there goes my shopping spree on black Friday (I'm a major tight wad). I hope we have a nice one. I wish we could go to Mandy's parents house for Thanksgiving, I love going there, it's nice to be around a family that is so fun. I am really going to be bummed if we can't go over there for at least Christmas Eve for games. Josh wants to have a special one for Addyson though, since it's her first. I already have two presents lined up for her. Leap frog learning systems, I am a total freak about putting knowledge into my kid(s). I want them to be smart. My mom never did it with me and I wish she would have, she'd take us to the library and what not but I just want her everything she needs to learn. Too much? I am just really excited to decorate for Christmas. Josh had to re pick orders the other day. He got to pick the one he wanted which is to live here still and go to Iraq, I'm nervous for that one, and then the other 4 are all in San Diego. I am WAY too nervous to live there. Tuesday, his shop is having a potluck I am excited to bring Addyson to wear he works. Then the rest of the time I'll be getting ready for Thanksgiving. I am excited for the day after, not only is it black Friday but we set up our Christmas decorations. I want to do it right now, maybe we will just because we're too excited.

Addyson in November

On Tuesday Addyson got weighed and measured.
Here are her Stats:

Weight: 15lbs 4oz - 50-90%
Length: 24.4 inches - 10%

I am iffy on the percents but that is the best I could remember. She is to short for her weight but she is doing just fine. She can sit with out support, she can sorta army crawl, she can lift her entire body up and flip over when she is mad she is in her crib. She loves her walker, doesn't like her toys anymore, she likes to play with big boy toys like trucks now, hopefully she is still going to be mommy's princess and not a tomboy (nothing is wrong with that). She loves food but certain things like Peaches & Bananas make her wiggle! I can't wait till her 6 month check up on the 3rd of December.

We're safe and sound....

After a long drive from leaving Lewiston, Idaho at 7p.m. driving eight hours to Oak Harbor we finally arrived home at 4a.m.. Josh irritated me a little thinking it was a great idea to leave that late with two babies. I rode with my sister-in-law Nicole and our nephew Justin. Addyson rode with us too. She was cranky she didn't know why she was in a carseat so late at night and not in her bed! Justin stayed up until midnight! It was insane. I never seen a little kid awake so late unless they are a newborn or sick. We didn't get much sleep I got three hours and I think Nicole got like one. I was so tired the next day I almost feel asleep eating when we went to the Burlington Mall. We took them around Burlington to go shopping. Nicole didn't find anything until we went to Target. She is now in love with Target, I love Target, who wouldn't love Target? I ended up getting some Christmas presents for Addyson. I am so excited to have her for Christmas with Josh and I. I also drove them to Marysville, and then the last day we just went site seeing. I am so glad that Jason came over with us because when they left on Wednesday the pass was snowy and I think he drove so it made me feel better. I am so sad that they left, things that I see reminds me of them it saddens me. One thing is that I am going to be finding things in places they don't belong because Nicole was being a lifesaver by cleaning my house she didn't know where some dishes went and I found some in various places. Addyson & Justin loved the kiddy swings at the Windjammer Park. Nicole really wanted to watch Addyson so we let her and went to the movies. We watched "Due Date" with my favorite Robert Downing Jr.. The movie was pretty good, I laughed a few times, but not a kid movie, there are parts in there that I thought were way to inappropriate. I am going to go see if Addyson can fold clothes since she is wonder baby and can do so much at 5 almost 6 months.

Justin Michael's first haircut

Justin's first haircut was Friday Nov. 5, 2010. He had very long hair even though I didn't think it was that long until the hairstylist combed it down with water. When we first arrived there he was kind of wild so we had to go for a walk around Hastings and then come back to the Salon. He then did a lot better. He sat on his moms lap and played with his green balloon he didn't like the whole trimming around the ears though. I am so proud of my little nephew he is quite the little character. Oh I didn't get a before picture and an after, but I got it all on video. If only I had time to load a video on here I would.

Picture Day (it took twice)

Nicole wanted to get the kids pictures done and get Justin's done. I was happy that she wanted to do it but I felt bad because she paid for it all. Josh would have killed me if I was the one that paid for it because we already spent hundreds of dollars on Addyson and shes only 5 months (almost 6). Friday we went down to get the pictures done and Justin's naptime was around the same time as the pictures and Addyson was just cranky. We tried really hard to get them done in one day but Justin was just trying to wreck the photo set and being a little terror. Uncle Josh was the only one that could calm him down and we got two photos of him. Then we got one of just Addyson but zero of them together. So Amber, Josh's best friends sister, works there and she just told us what to do and we were coming down for another session in a few days. So we ended up hanging out with Josh's grandma and she took us all to Timber Creek Buffet, a new Buffet in Lewiston. Dylan, Nicole lives with him, they use to date but not anymore, came too. Addyson sat in a highschair and was so good. I fed her some of my applesauce she likes her Apple sauce (even Great Grandma Lohmans homemade stuff). So the next time we came down Josh didn't come it was just Nicole, the kids, and me. This time was much better, Josh's mom showed up there too. Nicole got a cd of the pictures and made a copy for me and Josh to have. I can't wait to hang the pictures up on my wall. They sure do look like they are related. The only person I hung out with the most was Nicole, I am glad we got to bond a little, since we havent really ever done that, now I feel like we are closer. She actually has been staying with us she leaves today (11/17) its going to be a sad day.
