Happy Thanksgiving

Our thanksgiving this year was spent in our home, it's the first one that we have had here and it was very special. We invited a couple people over, Sharon and Aaron. (No, they aren't together...). We didn't get the turkeys going until 10:30. We had one in the oven and one in the smoker. The turkey in the oven got done really fast, but the one in the smoker took about five hours. So we just ate the oven one. We had mash potatoes, gravy, cranberry, rolls, yam dish, a Doritos dish, dressing, and much more. It was a lot of food. Our fridge was over stuffed. The previous night I made my first pumpkin pie, all from scratch along with my famous apple pie. Josh kept saying how much he loved my pies. It made me feel really good. Addyson was too funny. She took her usual naps but woke up when it was time to eat. I put her in her highchair (the free one I got...not the biggest fan of it) and trying to get my food and her food was hard. She was so hungry once I put her squash and watered down pear juice, she was feeding herself and everyone was laughing. Then she started drinking out of her cup. It was so cute. Every time I'd come back to the table she'd drop her sippy cup and look at me like I was going to hold it for her. What a lazy child! Sadly, the snow was melting during all this and we have no snow left. Anyways, our dinner was so good. After that we played the Wii, that Aaron brought over. It was so much fun, we had plenty of good laughs. Then we played some darts and listen to music. It was sad to see the fun end, but I was happy to go to sleep, I was exhausted. It was nice to have fun and drink a glass of wine or even a margarita. I am glad Addyson had a good first thanksgiving. I love her and Josh so much, and I am very thankful for them along with our families and good friends! Now today is black Friday... We're not really into the whole getting pushed around thing just to get an item that is $20 cheaper, ecpesically with Addyson, who might throw a fit, we might go out later and see if we survive and if they are actually having a good deal?
