working mommy

So I did it. I am now a working mommy. Josh thought I was joking when I said that I got the job. What do I do? I work for a bowstring outfit, family business. What I will be doing (after I get trained) is go on a machine and make the strings for the bow. they make strings for botex alpine winchester and many more different companies. right now i am just packaging them and labeling them onm their size and then i put them in boxes. i really enjoy working around mainly women. they have many simular stories like myself about being a mommy. addysons been doing well at the babysitters we call it daycare but shes mainly a woman who takes care of kids but would like more kids to run a daycare.addyson loves playing with this 4 yr old boy named connor. i get super sad when i leave my baby. i always thought i would stay at home with her until preschool. i only work 4 days. josh will start nights soon so he will be with her until 12 or 2 then i get her at 5. this is a big change for us. but i feel way better about myself. i have my own money. money for my family. it might now be a whole lot but it helps with extra saving. we are trying to get a routine down but it will take a while. so far what we are doing is good.

see ya later, not goodbye. & a little bit of this and that

Today Addyson and I drove to Auntie Nicole's to hang out with Auntie Alisha before she made the long drive to her new home. She and her boyfriend are moving to Salt Lake City, Utah. This is Josh's littlest sister, and my sister's best friend since she moved here in elementary. Alisha's boyfriend is a lineman that travels all over the west. She was very nervous to leave, but I told her what I've experienced moving to a new place. I met some amazing families, people, kids, and got to explore a new place. Everyday there was something new. We will sure miss her. Addyson was just getting to know her and then she had to leave, which is hard, but that is what happens, and we know we'll be seeing her soon! Addyson took over her hamster. Addyson now has a hamster, and Josh hasn't yet found out since he is still at work. I'm nervous on what he is going to say about it, he didn't like Alisha's hamster/gerbil thing. But I think its cute.

Josh's interview at the scope place is tomorrow. Night force Optics, build military grade scopes for guns. They are sold at Cabelas, obviously to the government, and who ever wants to order one. They are $3,000 scopes. Pretty spendy! Josh will get great benefits from Nightforce, but he'll go back down in pay. If he stays as a mechanic at the local mill, he will be making $15/hr and only has been there for 3 months. He will be the highest paying employee besides the boss' at the mill. But the insurance isn't as good as the other companies. So he is torn, but I am happy for him, he is such a hard working man, a loving daddy/husband. I'm very lucky. He has been there for us more, except when it comes to hunting, he's always out there when he can hunting for his bear. Which I hope he gets that soon. A few weeks ago, he and his friend, Austin, drove one down right to us by the four wheelers off the hillside, I'm glad Josh chased it away, Addyson and I would have had a heart attack if it came towards us!

So far everything with out little house is ok. Its not the greatest on the outside, but hopefully we'll be moving this last winter. Not looking forward to 6 feet of snow.

Addyson loves her ball cap now, she says Hat. She went potty 6 times in the potty last week, which earned her a treat, which when we make a trip to Lewiston she'll receive it.

Our friends, The Darlingtons, are going to be in Sand Point, Idaho this month and next month. We might be going to see them, which I am very excited about, I really hope we can make it up there, plus the shopping is a million times better than Lewiston. But no offense to anyone, but I really, really want to see my friend Mandy, and her family! Last night Josh and I were watching home videos, and one of them was of Addysons 1st birthday, it made my eyes water, I miss them so much, so if you are reading this we think of you guys all the time, and hope you guys are doing great! We miss ya!

Potty Training week 1

I have been trying to potty train Addyson. Sunday was her first potty time, but after that she's only went 6 times. Which is very good for a little girl who is only 16 months old. We're having trouble with number 2, but we'll get there. She gets so happy when she realizes that she actually went potty. I think we're going to get a good system going, and watch, I'll probably be called to work. But I just hope we can get through this, its so hard, I mean my goal is to have her potty trained by 18 months, but at least before she is 2!

interview 1

Today was my first interview at Stone Mountain Bowstrings. They make bowstrings for archery bows. I got to see how they make them, and actually got to try it out. I don't know if I'll get the job, because they are interviewing more people. I hope I do, I really liked it. Next, I have to call the other people about an interview. I rather work with people than alone at a person's house doing stuff for them. Doesn't sound fun to me!

Sunday, Addyson went potty!

Addyson went potty in the potty this last Sunday! Josh and I were so proud of our little girl! I can't believe it. What I am having trouble with is remembering each hour to put her on there. A woman told me to put water (body temp.) down her belly and that should get her to go potty, but make sure she has something to drink, wait 30 minutes - almost an hour and then put her on there. Well I just started the water to get it to the right temp, and there she went! A whole lot! We are so proud of Addy girl!

First Day of Fall -Friday September 23

Tomorrow is the first day of fall and boy has it sure felt like it here. We are still having 80 degree weather, low 80s, but around 4 in the afternoon you can sure feel the chill set in. We have to turn the heater on in Addyson's room because its so chilly. I've been waking up with Josh when he is getting ready for work. He leaves around 5:30 so I get up and either make his lunch or just chat if I made it the night before, and the point is, it's pretty cold in the morning! Josh says he almost freezes on his way to work. We live 10 miles from the town Josh works in, so it takes Josh almost 30 minutes to get to work. I can't complain to much right now until winter comes and we are dealing with 5feet or more of snow.

Addyson is 16 months tomorrow! I can't believe our little girl is that big. I'm excited to get a halloween costume for her. I know last year I had it in August/beginning of September, but I'm waiting so her dad and I can get it together. I'm probably not ordering it like I did last year. She just loves to throw around her pink ball, play with her blocks. She now is in her daybed (toddler bed) she likes to get out of it so I am usually with her on the couch having quiet time until she either is tired enough to stay in her bed or falls asleep on me. She is always smiling. She rarely throws fits. But when she does, its terrible! She has 12 teeth. Four of her molars, I think, are coming in. She knows to blow kisses, say Bye-Bye, and fake cough, she has nightmares now, and she sort of watches some shows on Nick Jr. I can't believe all the stuff she does. Makes me so proud!

Gma's battle with Cancer.

Josh's grandma's cancer in her neck is getting worse. It has grown bigger. She had surgery to try and cut it out of her neck/shoulder area but it didn't work, obviously. She just got diagnosed with liver cancer. Liver cancer is the worst you can get. She is considering not doing the Chemo because she is just tired of being sick. Others advice is that she has two choices to be sick, or to die. I don't know what I would do if I was battling cancer. I think I'd be so scared that it might take my life, and I'd miss my daughter growing up. I have been so lucky to get to know Josh's grandma. She is a nice lady, that has done so much for us, and even though she is pushy, she has taught us never to give up and to live life to the fullest. I pray that god keeps her strength up and she keeps fighting this ugly battle with cancer. I wish I could take it all away from her, she is such a strong lady. Did I mention she has been battle cancer for going on 5 years!

moving took a lot out of me

We finally moved into our new place. its small, the outside needs repainted but its cozy and good for us. I'm just happy that we can be ourselves in our own place, Addyson can run free. Although moving was stressful enough, I am also very sick. My chest rattles, my nose is so plugged, and my face just hurts terribly. On a good note, I got a call for an interview. WISH ME LUCK! LOTS OF IT. I haven't really had to go through an interview before!

I won..

A photo session with Creative Image out of Pullman, Washington. 300 dollar gift certificate to be exact. $150 for the session, anywhere I want it. The rest of the $150 is for a photo package. Sucky thing is they start at $199 so we'll have to pay the $49 out of pocket. But I've heard its a good deal, considering who does the photos. They do wonderful work!

Keys to our new Life.

Tomorrow is a big day for us. We are picking up the keys to our new house, new to us house. We pay $475/month for rent, sewer & water, garbage, and tv. We just have to pay for electricity and phone. Things might be a little tight for us until I can get a job. I've applied for two but its only been a few days. Every time there is an opening up here I feel as if someone (in my family) jumps on it and knows I need a job. I'm just beyond ready to have a place we can call our home. I'm sick of people telling us how much we need to do for Nicole because she is letting us stay there. I could easily stay with my parents, but they are busy doing home projects for their home. At first it was a good idea because there is toys, its safer for a toddler, and Justin was there to play with. As you can see in recent post, it wasn't so pleasant. Justin only likes Addyson when she is getting in trouble. Today I was getting him ready to go to Chris' (Josh's sisters ex boyfriends grandma's house) and I gave him some juice and then I was getting Addyson dressed next thing I knew he was yelling at Addyson thinking she was going to get his juice, he purposely put his juice in front of Addyson... Now tell me he doens't know what he is doing? I clearly beg to differ. I just looked at him and he gave me the look like, great, she knows what I am doing... He likes to set up Addy. I know Addyson's isn't an angel, but at least I make sure she knows when she is in the wrong. So as you can see, I'm very happy that we'll be able to be a family in our own house. It's been far too long since that has happened. We even get to bring Paco. Pierce, the town we are moving to, has a strict policy like Oak Harbor did with animals. We are only allowed 2 domestic animals and they both have to be registered with the town. All this craziness makes me miss living 400 miles away. Seriously. If I could write exactly what has been happening, I would! This is my blog and I can say what I want, but I just don't want to deal with the outcome, because I don't know who exactly reads this lovely crazy journal. Addyson will miss Justin, no matter how mean he is, she loves that crazy kid. She hates when she can't play with him or go to Chris' with him.
